Important update on iLearn from the Learning and Development Hub

Believe it or not we have been using iLearn our Learning Management System to host our e-learning and training course bookings for 13 years. Our contract with our current provider ends in March this year and from 9 March we will be launching a new Learning Management System. It will still be called iLearn but there will be some changes on how the system looks and works. More on that to come nearer the time.

To make sure we are ready and for the transfer to be as smooth as possible, we recommend that you download any certificates that you might need to keep. Please do this as soon as you can, we’ll send a few reminders between now and until the launch of the new system.

There will be some things we will need you to do, please keep an eye out for further email updates as they will contain information on actions that you will need to take.

We believe that training and workforce development is essential to help protect children and young people in Torbay. We organise a range of different training events and online learning and work with a framework based on the intercollegiate document.

There is a variety of training on offer from the TSCP to support the children and young people's workforce to safeguard children and young people and we're developing closer links with the Torbay Safeguarding Adults Board Opens in a new window (TSAB).

We can offer you the level 3 multi-agency courses you require for staff who work closely with children, young people and their families and who make decisions as to whether to make a referral to the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub or completing Early Help Assessments. These courses cost out and you have some choices in the level you wish to pay. You can access training through the i-Learn Opens in a new window website.
