New iLearn: what you need to know

iLearn will be changing to a new provider from 11 March 2026. You won’t be able to use the system between 5 to 10 March 2026.

Here’s what you need to know:

Why we moved to a new system

We’re upgrading to a new system to:

  • Improve your learning experience
  • Streamline training processes
  • Support better tracking and reporting.

The new system will make it easier for you to:

  • Find training
  • Book courses
  • Access your development resources

Go live date

The new LMS is scheduled to go live on Wednesday 11 March. You’ll receive regular updates, reminders and guidance ahead of launch.

What to expect of the new system

The system will launch with core features in place on day one, but it won’t stay static. After launch, we’ll continue to make improvements based on user feedback, system updates and organisational needs.

This means you can expect new features, changes and developments to roll out over time.

What happens to the old system

The old system will not be available after Wednesday 4 March 2026. It will be retired fully.

Accessing the new system

We will replace the URL links on the intranet. You should be able to access the new system from there. If you have bookmarked the existing landing page, it will no‑longer link to the new site.

Account and login

You don’t need to create a new account. When the new system goes live, an email will be sent to you on your registered email address with your login details, and your account will already be set up and ready to use.

How to use the new system

There will be training to help you use the new system. We’ll provide:

  • Quick start guides
  • Short “How‑to” videos

Using the new system on phones or tablets

You can use the new system on phones and tablets. It’s fully mobile‑responsive.

Accessing your course bookings

You should still be able to access your course bookings. They should have been carried across from the previous system. However, you may need to check that you have accepted all course bookings into your calendar.

Keeping your completion certificates

Your course completions will carry across to the new system. However, they may not be visible straight away. You may want to download any course completion certificates for your own records before the 4 March 2026. This is optional.

Impact on compliance training deadlines

If migration temporarily pauses access to training, deadlines will be adjusted to make sure no one is penalised. This includes, for example, probationary deadlines.

Your saved learning, knowledge and skill plans

Some personalised items like saved courses or personal learning plans may not transfer automatically.

You’ll receive instructions on how to rebuild them if needed.

Missing completed courses, & bookings

We will only be bringing across the last 5 years of information for each member of staff. Some information may take a few days to come across and be fully restored into the system after we go live. Don't worry your information will still be there but please bear with us as it may take a few days. If your information still hasn’t arrived after several days please contact us – TSCPtraining@torbay.gov.uk
